EMPOWERMENT is delighted to partner with an internationally reknowned Irish firm to hire a talented Accounting Advisory Manager. This pivotal role involves overseeing the Group’s expanding US GAAP accounting function, partnering with senior stakeholders across a range of teams in the Group to provide practical solutions to accounting complexities. The Accounting Advisory team forms part of the External Reporting group and has won numerous awards over the last decade.
Responsibilities:
Assessing the US GAAP accounting implications of potential deals with business development teams and providing practical solutions to accounting issues;
Developing the Group accounting manual under US GAAP;
Resolving US GAAP accounting queries with colleagues, including the internal/monthly reporting, internal audit, tax, and treasury teams, along with divisional and operational and finance teams;
Coaching and mentoring junior team members;
Presenting accounting and US transition matters to a range of teams across the Group, Divisional and operating companies;
Acting as a business partner to different functions across the Group including Strategy & Development, divisional and operational finance teams, sustainability, innovation & venturing, procurement, technical services etc.
Supporting newly acquired businesses to align with US GAAP and CRH’s accounting policies
Experience:
Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 8-10 years' PQE
Strong financial background with significant US GAAP experience and knowledge
Experience in consolidation and divestment accounting advantageous
Superior communication and organisational skills, with evidence of having managed successful teams
