EMPOWERMENT is delighted to partner with a growing Fund Services firm who are seeking a talented Head of Compliance to join their fund, corporate and depositary services firm. The ideal candidate will be appointed Associate Director of Compliance and MLRO (PCF-12/14/52) and will play a key role in all compliance and AML matters. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Be the main contact point for requests for information made by the CBI, Department of Justice, law enforcement or any other relevant Authority

  • Preparing Compliance and AML reports addressed to the Ireland Board of Directors. Attend such meetings and present the content of the reports

  • Maintain an up-to-date the Compliance Manual, documenting all relevant policies and procedures

  • Maintain up-to-date compliance risk assessments identifying the regulatory compliance and financial crime risks faced by the Group

  • Design, implement and maintain a comprehensive risk-based monitoring programme, taking account industry and regulatory developments

  • Identify, document and propose resolutions to breaches, and suggest improvements where control weaknesses are found

  • Timely identification of material regulatory changes that can affect the activities of the Group or clients

  • Member of the New Business Committee in charge of reviewing and assessing the take-on of new potential clients

 

Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar

  • Significant compliance experience gained within an investment funds. Good knowledge of AIFMD requirements with special focus on depositary aspects

  • Prior PCF-12/PCF-14/PCF-15/PCF-52 approval required

  • Demonstrable practical knowledge and understanding of relevant regulatory requirements
