Internal Auditor (Semi-State)

​EMPOWERMENT is delighted to be working with a leading semi-state firm PLC to help them source a Group Internal Auditor. This would suit a recently qualified accountant coming out of an Audit practice environment offering excellent exposure to the Head of Internal Audit and wider senior management team.

Responsibilities:

·        Perform all phases of audits including planning, fieldwork, reporting results and performing subsequent follow-up procedures (individually & as part of the wider team)

·        Foster risk & control awareness across the Group by working with first line staff, management and second LOD functions

·        Identify issues and manage the escalation of relevant matters identified in the audit process to management and IA management

·        Write clear concise reports for use by key stakeholders and recommend control improvements that add value to the business

Experience

·        Recently Qualified ACA coming from Top 10 practice or ACCA/CIMA qualified with 0-2 years PQE

·        Proven experience in Internal Audit/Audit/Risk and Control

·        Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

·        Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, specifically, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
