Senior Fund Accountant

​EMPOWERMENT are delighted to partner with a quickly expanding international fund administration company based in Kilkenny or Dublin. Our client is looking for a senior fund accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will report into the financial reporting manager.

 Responsibilities:

• Maintaining complex records for a variety of funds, management firms, and related fund structures, as well as communicating as needed with clients and intermediaries.

• Complete all accounting-related tasks for a variety of fund structures, such as preparing, resolving, and verifying investor reports, statutory financial statements, and ad-hoc investor inquiries.

• Complete routine audit queries.

• Prepare bank reconciliations.

• Provide supporting documentation evidencing transactions.

• Maintain accurate records on eFront and Microsoft Excel working paper schedules for all aspects of accounting.

• Prepare and reconcile periodic direct and indirect tax returns.

• Mentor junior staff under the supervision of senior staff.

Experience:

• Part qualified with a relevant professional qualification (ACCA or ACA).

• Experience in Private Markets (Private Equity, Real Estate or Private Credit)..

• Strong financial services experience.

• Proficient in Excel.

• Self-motivated and keen to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• An enthusiastic attitude and a proactive approach to your work ethic.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
