Financial Accountant

​EMPOWERMENT have partnered with a leading property developer based in Dublin City Centre to help them source a commercially driven Financial Accountant.

This exciting and dynamic role would suit a recently qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) wishing to transition from practice (audit or tax) into a more technical, hands-on accounting position in the property sector. You will also get involved in interesting commercial/advisory work liaising with some of the best deal makers in the business. There is large scope to grow with this company, with access to senior stakeholders on a regular basis.

Great importance is also placed on company culture and employees well-being i.e. social events, onsite gym, high staff retention.

The Role:

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be given a variety of tasks:

• Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts

• Co-ordinating with other departments in the business

• Helping to ensure that all investor reporting requirements are met

• Preparing the specific reports that investors require

• Cashflow management and audit requirements

• Preparation and analysis of various tax returns

• Cost variance analysis for various developments

• Review of weekly bank reconciliations

• Adhoc advisory/project work

The Person:

• Recently Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA

• Big 4/Top 10 background (audit or tax) or industry

• Interest in the property sector is essential

• Technical accounting expertise (IFRS and Irish GAAP)

• Commercial mindset

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient at MS Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint

• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple processes

• Strong sense of self-motivation, assertiveness, and stakeholder management
