Group Internal Auditor

EMPOWERMENT is delighted to be working with a leading PLC to help them source a Group Internal Auditor based in Amsterdam. Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, you will get involved in assessing the operational and financial risk management and controls of the Group. A brilliant opportunity to collaborate with senior management. An excellent role for a recently qualified accountant coming out of a practice (internal/external audit).

The Role: 

·        Help the business achieve better efficiencies

·        Carry out reviews of operational and financial risk management & control

·        Co-ordinate with internal audit teams in other countries

·        Compile written reports and recommendations on issues arising

·        Identify the needs and best methods to improve internal control processes

·        Travel to other countries (when required)

The Ideal Candidate: 

·        ACA/ACCA qualified with circa 3-4 years working experience in internal audit or external audit in a Big 4 firm or similar industry

·        Experience in SOX, internal controls and testing, corporate governance

·        Strong academic track record

·        Solid financial and analytical skills

·        Team player with strong interpersonal skills

·        Highly motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

·        Willingness to travel when required
